Job Description
A major lubricants manufacturer has an opportunity for a Territory Manager to join them to cover the Northern England Territory (Sheffield to Middlesborough). The role is field-based and will manage a portfolio of distributor/motor factor accounts – building relationships with all the key stakeholders. You’ll also work closely with your distributor partners to promote your products to end user garages & workshops. You’ll need to constantly seek opportunities to grow business and maximise the product mix. You’ll also be tasked with seeking and build new customers within your region.
If you have a proven track record in a field-based B2B sales role within the automotive aftermarket and superb commercial and interpersonal skills this role could be for you. Previous experience in the lubricants market would be useful but is not essential as long as you can demonstrate great relationships building skills and proven sales ability.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of distributor/motor factor accounts in your region
- Regular face to face meetings with customers (out circa 4 days a week)
- Develop and drive new pipeline opportunities to achieve sales revenue & volume
- Work directly with clients to deliver against negotiated terms
- Promote and sell a portfolio of technical and or non-technical products to existing and new customers
- Create, manage, and maintain relationships with workshop owners and other key distributor stakeholders
- Drive, manage and attend hospitality plus trade show events as required
- Assist with market intelligence feedback
- Hold business development meetings to review performance, improve margin and increase volumes.
- Maintain and produce accurate account information and records
- Ensure customer compliance with application data through training
About You
- At least 2 years in a field based, B2B sales role in the automotive industry
- Experience selling to either distributors, motor factors, dealers, workshops
- Able to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders within distributors and workshops
- An understanding of the automotive industry aftermarket
- Ability to understand technical workshop products
- Strong presentation skills
- Self-motivated with great time management and organizational skills
- Live within the territory (between Sheffield and Middlesborough)
- Able to spend 4-5 nights away per month
- Good MS Office skills
