Job Description
A fast growing national automotive retail aftercare business is seeking a Marketing Manager. You’ll have overall responsibility for marketing the business across all channels and will act as the conduit between operations and marketing, building brand awareness and retail customers. You’ll work closely with the retail network of fast-fit centres as well as the area management team to provide marketing solutions for the business and individual centres. The position is hybrid with 2 days in the office per week as well as regular regional meetings and occasional travel to retail sites across the UK.
This role would suit an ambitious marketing professional with experience in retail marketing – ideally in the automotive retail or aftermarket sectors. It offers the opportunity to step up into your first people management position and take on full marketing responsibility for a fast growing retail aftermarket brand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and execute marketing plans for the brand that ensure effective communication with target audiences, build brand awareness, influence brand perception, and create brand advocacy
- Develop both national campaigns and localised centre-specific activity
- Liaise with centre network and regional managers to fulfill their marketing requirements
- Act as the brand guardian to ensure consistency in execution at all times.
- Analyse industry and competitor activity
- Delegate work to marketing specialist with the team
- Report on marketing performance vs pre-agreed KPIs including customer satisfaction, brand measures, campaign metrics and return on investment versus budget
- Work collaboratively with colleagues – sharing best practice and coordinating marketing activities
ABOUT YOU
- Circa 5+ years marketing experience
- Experience working in a retail marketing role
- Automotive and/or aftermarket marketing experience highly desirable
- Proven ability to write annual marketing plans
- Proven strategic marketing planning ability
- Experience managing marketing budgets
- Ability to manage relationships with external stakeholders
- Ability to work with internal commercial teams and provide marketing solutions according business needs
- Ability to represent the brand in an external environment
- Confident and outgoing personality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a keen attention to detail
- Copywriting ability
- A self-starter and able to demonstrate drive and ambition
- Demonstrate the potential to manage 1 or 2 direct reports
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Valid driving license and own vehicle
