An opportunity has arisen for a senior level National Account Manager with a fast-growing, London based technology marketplace business. Reporting to the Sales Director, you’ll be the key point of contact for a portfolio of existing key accounts across the UK. You’ll need to demonstrate excellent relationship building skills and the ability to optimise revenue via core business offerings and cross-selling. This role would suit someone with a proven track record growing revenue across a portfolio of key accounts and experience working for a technology or online marketplace business.
The role is hybrid with 2 days a week in central London with regular travel to meet with clients across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of major clients across the UK – working with multiple client stakeholders from board level down
- Working with your clients to develop long-term solutions to assist with their business objectives.
- Maximise revenue from all your clients from core services and cross-selling products and services
- Manage a small team of account managers
- Regular reporting and analysis on your portfolio
- Seek out opportunities to innovate and develop your clients’ business and provide them with the highest levels of service
- Attend industry events and new business pitches as required
- Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and the wider business
About You
- At least 7 years’ experience in a consultative sales account management role
- Ideally experience working in a technology business or online marketplace
- Ability to liaise with all levels of client stakeholder from board level down
- Strong commercial and target driven approach
- Field based account management experience
- Demonstrable success in growing revenue across a portfolio of accounts.
- Previous managerial experience or demonstrable ability to move into a line management role
- Willingness to take on regular (weekly) travel across the UK to visit clients
- Have a passion for tech based business and ability to demonstrate it’s benefits to your clients
- Strong numerical skills and ability to manage sales numbers and recognise/track trends and report on these
- Strong presentation skills and ability to effectively sell product features and handle objections
- Be willing to learn new skills and knowledge to improve yourself
- Demonstrate the ability to self motivate, manage your time and work autonomously as required
- Able to work in Central London 2 days per week
