Job Description
A leading vehicle manufacturer is seeking a field-based Area Sales Manager for Parts & Accessories to cover the Northern half of the UK. You’ll be responsible for the dealer network performance in parts and accessories sales. You’ll travel widely within the region, visiting dealers on a regular basis ensuring they are maximising opportunities for parts and accessories sales.
This role is pivotal in the business, acting as the link between the UK head office and the dealer network for everything parts and accessories. With challenging targets for the next year the business is seeking a highly sales driven parts and accessories expert to help them realise their goals.
It would suit someone with excellent communication skills and experience working in a sales focused parts and accessories role in the automotive industry – ideally a B2B field based role. The successful candidate will probably have experience working for a vehicle manufacturer, parts OEM, apparel OEM or automotive parts/accessories wholesaler/distributor/motor factor.
Key Responsibilities
- Regular dealer visits to review and analyse parts & accessories performance
- Ensure dealers are displaying and promoting parts & accessories to maximum effect in the showroom
- Educate dealers on brand and products to ensure full knowledge of parts & accessories
- Work with colleagues across the business to develop parts & accessories value
- Gain a strong understanding of competitor products and pricing and relay to your dealers
- Support marketing team and attend shows and events as appropriate
About You
- Knowledge/experience in automotive parts, accessories or lubricants
- Ideally experience working in a field-based sales-focused role working with retailers/dealers
- Able to identify the key drivers for increasing the sale of parts and accessories in a dealership
- Able to relay the benefits of buying genuine/premium parts and accessories
- Ability to coach and influence dealership employees at all levels
- A highly commercial sales/target driven approach with a track record achieving sales targets
- A self-starter – able to work remotely and organise your time effectively
- Ability to build strong commercial relationships with retailers from senior management down
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong MS Office and presentation skills
- Experience in regularly reporting on sales activities and your market
- A full driving licence
- Be located in Northern England or Southern Scotland and willing to travel widely within this region
